the story
Assalamu-alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu,
When I first started this space, I was beginning my journey with Islamic Sciences. I had recently quit my job and the surge of depression was overwhelming. I was drowning in my existential crisis. Achievement has always been an integral part of my life. I measured days through achievement and years through how remarkable they had been. To see life going haywire only weakened my resolve to persevere.
It was du'aa class that finally pushed me out of the waters. I was amazed at how a few words when better understood transformed my relationship with Allah. I began to enroll in more online classes and met my aqeedah teacher who inspired my vision for this space. During the pandemic, I tasted the sweetness of emaan.
I felt as though all this time I was blissfully unaware of this immense blessing that Allah had gifted me with— like a child with the sweetest candy jammed in their pockets yet crying at the empty wrappers in their fists. It was seeking knowledge that became my light during this dark period. I hope to impart this light and remind you to connect with Allah.
Inspired by the beloved revelation to remind us that everything in the universe is in a constant state of glorifying our Rabb. This is my safe space and I hope it becomes yours too.
